Description
The Vijay Dry Chemical Powder Skid and is ideally suited for protection of hazardous areas where large fires must be extinguished before they have the chance to spread or increase in size. Dry Chemical System combines the flexibility of a hand portable fire extinguisher with the greater suppression capability. Vijay DCP Skid offers quick response, large extinguishing agent capacity, longer discharges time, and increased flow rates necessary to combat these large fires.
Vijay DCP skid have storage capacity for Dry Chemical Powder varying from 150kgs to 2000kgs. It consists of DCP tank fabricated and tested accordance with ASME Code VIII. DCP tank is connected with suitable number of charged nitrogen cylinders each at 150kg/cm2 . The whole unit is suitably mounted on skid with Pilot cylinder for pneumatic actuation.
Application
The Dry Chemical System is manufactured to provide manual firefighting protection for hazardous areas such as offshore platform, loading racks, petro chemical facilities, marine applications, fuel storage areas, heavy manufacturing operations to extinguish Class B ( Flammable liquid and Gas) and Class C ( Electrical ) Fire .
DRY CHEMICAL POWDER SYSTEM
Description
The Vijay Dry Chemical Powder System can be automatic or manually activated to discharge through a distribution system into the protected hazard. The discharge of DCP system can be provided in the form of Hose reel & Monitor System as local application system or Total Flooding system etc. The systems are designed on the basis of flow and extinguishing characteristics and the type of dry chemical.
DCP system consists of DCP tank storage capacity ranging from 500kgs to 2000kgs, Nitrogen pressurized cylinder with Automatic or Manual override features. System operating can be done manually through pilot cylinder valve or automatically system can actuate through fire and gas panel. DCP system is simple with high reliability and would generate confidence in operator quite readily.
